    Question: What are the laws regarding mandatory breaks at work?

    Answer:

    There are no laws or regulations in Arizona covering breaks and lunch hours either for adults or for children. However there are federal labor laws that cover breaks.

    The breaks required vary greatly from state to state. Like AZ, there are no laws in Utah regulating break frequency or length... However in California, the laws require a 30 minute lunch on a 5 hour shift and 15 minutes of break for each 4 hours worked. Then there is this thing called an exempt employee to which none of it applies. Welcome to law, its not justice… and it will get more employer friendly as bushes term gets longer.
