My parents died when I was 15 and I was placed into a DES group home. When I turned 18 I had to leave. I have no identification so I can't get a job. All I have is an old High School ID card. Everywhere I call I can't get any identification because I don't already have identification. Who can I call to get some help please?

Answer:

The Foundation that sponsors lawforkids.org also sponsors lawforseniors.org - You can find information about how to obtain identification records through this article, How to Get a Certified Copy of Your Birth Certificate , located on the LawForSeniors.org website.

Also your caseworker should be able to assist you with that information. If he/she is no longer at that office you can still contact the office and explain your situation.
