Question: Why don't kids have the right to carry guns?

    Answer:

Laws are set to protect kids and adults when dangerous instruments are involved. This applies to driving a car as well as to possession of guns. In Arizona, the law states that kids under the age of 18 are not allowed to carry guns.(A.R.S. § 13-3111). This law also provides some exceptions where kids are allowed to have and use a gun under certain restricted conditions.

For example, a kid can carry a gun if he or she is with a parent, grandparent, qualified hunter safety instructor, or qualified firearms safety instructor as long as there is permission from a parent or guardian. When involved in lawful hunting or shooting events or marksmanship practice, kids between the ages of 14 and 18 are allowed to be in possession of a firearm.(A.R.S. § 13-3111). Because there are many exceptions and details in this statute, you may want to read the law or consult a gun expert or lawyer before actually possessing a firearm.

If kids were banned from ever touching a gun until they were 16, think about what would happen when they turned 16. All their lives they were never allowed to otuch a gun, then suddenly they can... they'd have no previous experiance with guns... not very safe.

Why do they let people cary guns even after they get arrested for useing them. They should get their lisence revoked or something like when they get arrested driving. It once happened to me. I was driving without a parent and the cops got me. They sent me home and now I can't drive my new car until i'm 18!

Oh yes...the high and mighty adults...WTH makes you think that as soon as you are legally an adult...you are magically responsible enough to carry a firearm or for that matter, any weapon...I dont think it is very right to be calling us idiots when it would just be equality for all of us including minors because we are people too...If you want to carry a weapon for protection.you should be 16,have gone through a hunters safety course,self-defense course, and should be able to carry as long as you have no past criminal records or violent incidents...that is all =^.^=
