    printer friendly version

Question: what is the punishment for driving without a licence or permitt?

Answer: If a person operating a vehicle does not have a license or permit to show an officer when asked, they are guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor (Fine up to $750 or up to 4 months in jail). However, if you go to court and show your license or permit (or authorized copy of either) and it was valid at the time the officer asked for it, then the misdemeanor will be dropped (ARS 28-1595).

Ok. My name is Katy and I drove my parent's car without having a permit or license in PA. I hit an old ladies car and hit another persons car. Then I accidentley crashed into a telephone pole. The car flipped and I was hanging upside down the people from life lion said I should've been killed. Because of my stupid choice now I have to face a judge in Juvenile court and am being charged with reckless endangerment. Any one who reads this don't do what I did. YOU COULD KILL SOMEONE OR YOURSELF!!!!

Not true, if you are doing 100 in a 30 you are "driving recklessly" and such can be arrested.

I got pulled over for driving without my lights off, but I do not have alisence, only my permit, and I was driving with an older friend. I have a court date for a permit violation. I will be done with drivers ed and hopefully (knock on wood) get my lisence in a month, before my court date. What are the ramifications of getting a permit violation before you get your lisence?
