    Question:

Are motorized skateboards illegal or is anything being done to make them illegal?

    Answer:

Motorized skateboard use is covered by city laws. For example, in Tempe, the law states that no child under the age of 14 can operated a motorized skateboard. (Section 19-23). Tempe City codes also state that no person other than the owner of the motorized skateboard is authorized to ride it and that no passengers are allowed on it. To be sure, check with your local police department to find out about laws concerning motorized skateboards in your community.

I think that Gopeds® are safe and give kids somthing to do. People only look at the bad things about Gopeds®. Gopeds® are a hobby and it can keep kids out of trouble just like any other hobby. As long as the kids that are riding the Gopeds® are following the rules I dont see any reason for them to be illegal. So all my ny queens Goped®ers dont give up on our hobby lets try to win this.

I asked the Burlingame Police in California and they said that you had to have a M-License. A licence for motorised scooters or motorcycles. You also have to wear a helmet, and obey the speed limit. Those are the rules.
