Question: Is walking on a school roof after school hours a felony?
Answer: It depends on what happens as a result of walking on the school roof after hours. If someone were to walk on the school roof and get caught, after campus is closed to students and public and the person did not have permission to be on the school grounds, they may get arrested for trespassing. Trespassing is not a felony. However, if on school grounds without permissioin and walking on the school roof results in damage OF ANY KIND to the roof, you could get arrested for Aggravated Criminal Damage. In Arizona, even if the damage is less than $1500, because it was done to a school property, it is a class six felony.
