Question: Is smoking weed (marijuana) legal in some States?
Answer: No. Every State, from Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky to Vermont, including Arizona and every State in between, has enacted various criminal penalties for the possession, use, cultivation, transportation and distribution, of marijuana, including even the smallest of quantities.
Arizona punishes possession of amounts less than two pounds as a class six felony with fines between $750 and $150,000 and jail or prison time from six months to a year and a half.
A few States have decriminalized marijuana use and possession in small amounts (N. Carolina and California for example) but even there, its still illegal.

Weed is just as legal as fishing. You just need a license and can't be stupid and sell it or smoke it in public. At least thats how it is in most states. I've been caught with buds by cops before. Most really don't really care because there's worse things out there.

Legalization of cannabis sativia/indica.
Taxation without representaion.
Did you know that several states including mine Indiana, have a tax stamp for the possesion of marijuana. Basically you are required by law to:
1) State and knowingly admit the possesion of marijuana.*
*possesion of marijuana is ILLEGAL in Indiana as well as everyother state in the union.
2)Pay a tax on an unregulated product. Each state can set tax rate how ever they like.
3)The very fact that a state makes you pay a tax on an unregulated illegal product is uncontitutional
