Question: What happens when a person gets caught driving and their license has already been suspended or revoked for something like a DUI?
Answer: The law addresses this scenario in Arizona Revised Statutes 28-3473 which says that a person caught driving with a license suspended or revoked for DUI is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor. Punishment is a mandatory minimum 48 hours in jail, which could certainly result in the judge ordering more time since only a minimum is specified in the law.
If a person's license is suspended or revoked by the Department of Motor Vehicles as the result of a DUI conviction, the person's terms of conviction will usually contain restrictions on driving as well, so getting caught driving on a suspended or revoked license will almost always result in a violation of the person's probation and may lead to re-sentencing on the original DUI charge.
Additionally, the law provides that if a person is caught driving on a suspended or revoked license, their vehicle may be impounded as set forth in Arizona Revised Statutes 28-3511.

HA! If this is true, and your dad is pulled over, he will be immediately put in handcuffs and put in jail. Depending on the plea bargin with the DA, he may only receive the minimum punishment. However, if convicted by a judge, he could spend several months in jail. It's simply not worth it...

Is the penalty for driving on a suspended license on DUI different from a license suspension of not filing an SR-22?

My dad got his license revoked, and continues to drive on it and he actually got a copy of it from dmv, because they hadnt recieved the notice from the courts. He also has narcolepsy and should'nt be driving, how much trouble is he in if he gets caught?
