Question: I have a 16 year old that wants to move out and had been causing a lot of problems at home with our other children. He does not do anything to help out at home and has been caught smoking pot many times. He only goes to school when he wants to and will not get a job. He has no respect for anyone and it is affecting the other children in a negative way. What can we do to get him out of the house or away from our other children?
Answer: Legally the child is your responsibility until he is 18. If you want the child out of the house you may consider putting him in a treatment center for the drugs, or sending him to a school that is strong on discipline. The only other way to get him out of the house would be to have another member of your family take him in. Family counseling may also be a good option at this point.

My mom just learned that I am and now she's doing everything possible to ruin my life even more and keeps telling me how I'll burn in hell for this sin and how I'm so discusting for being this way..she's mentally unstable and she's never loved me and always found ways to hurt me. Just today he broke his finger and his mother refuses to take him to the ER because she's to busy getting ready for her party at their house on saturday. He said he hated her and now he's grounded and tomorrow is our 1 year. I'm so sick of the way she treats him. Is there anyway he can move out with paper work and live with his grandmother?
