Question: What if my parents don't want me to be emancipated?
Answer: If your parents or guardian object the court may send all of you to mediation where you may work out a solution. If you don’t reach an agreement the judge will decide whether to emancipate you or not based on what is in your best interests.

yea "girl from placid" my parents are like that too they think im still 7. They even still tell me not to talk to strangers when i go to the store, it ridiculous. When i was younger it wasnt a big deal but over the past few years as i've gotten older its getting annoying beacuse i dont do anything to make them think im stupid or cant be trusted. They dont let me go to hang out that much and if they do i can only stay out for a couple of hours and they call like every 45 minutes to "check up" on me. its annoying that i cant just say "im going out" and leave. I have to go through a 100questions

my parent never trust me and i don't know how i can get them to and i hate the fact that they never let me do alot of the things that all of my friends do i am very unhappy liveing with my parents and one of my friend is going through the same thing i don't have a job yet nither does my friend but we are both un happy and our parent treat us like little kids and we hate it
