Question: Why are fireworks illegal in some states but they are not in other states?

    Answer:

Laws can be made at several different levels of government. For instance, there are national laws that apply to all residents of the U.S., there are state laws that only apply to people in a specific state, and there are local laws which apply to only people in a city or town.

In the case of fireworks, states have the jurisdiction to make laws regulating the sale of fireworks or banning their use altogether.

Some states next to each other might have different laws regarding fireworks, making it possible to cross the state border to buy them legally.

Be careful though, because even if you purchased fireworks legally in one state, you are still subject to the laws in the state that you are in. So you can still get in trouble for letting off fireworks if it is against the law in your state. For more information about fireworks in different states, visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commision online.

I think everyone who wants Fireworks to be legal ...should start up a petition and fight for the right to use fireworks in whatever state you happen to live in. I for one don't think it's right....that they can ban something...that takes away our rights, i thought we lived in a free country. Thats my thoughts on this subject.

First of all, noises DONT KILL ANIMALS. plus, fireworks do not intoxicate the air. and as for this :if you are so inclined to do some mild research to consider opposing views. Fireworks injure people. i have looked at the facts and the statistics are that more people annually are injured seriously by PENCILS, YES, PENCILS than fireworks. However, there should still be regulations as to using them on other people's property, ect. also, if someone is injured using fireworks its their fault, as many have said. when bystanders are injured however, there should be penalties, of course. overall, in

I disagree with all you fools. Fireworks are dangerous. More animals are lost or killed on the Fourth of July from panicking. Many animals cower and tremble violently indoors for hours while silly children light obnoxious crackers. Loud noises like these foolish ka-booms you want so desperately to launch frighten the local wildlife. The air becomes toxic and thick with sulfur. Just because the air is already polluted doesn't mean we should add to it, that's just ignorance talking. Not to mention the litter that it leaves behind, because no one goes back out to pick up the little pieces of pa

Can someone please explain to me why it's easier to buy a gun in NY state then to buy fireworks? Oh yes, maybe it's because fireworks companies don't have the NRA working for them. Maybe thats what we need, a lobby organization for fireworks.
