Speak Up! - View Question #373 |
printer friendly version
Question: If I get arrested for the curfew, what will happen. Will you get handcuffed?
Answer: As usual with law enforcement, there is not a one-line answer. Everything depends on the specific circumstances within each situation. However, here is a basic answer: If arrested for curfew, a juvenile is usually not handcuffed. The juvenile will receive a citation (will have to appear in court at a later date) and parents will be called to come pick him up. However, if the officer has to transport the juvenile somewhere (home?), the juvenile will most likely be handcuffed. This is a safety issue with the transport situation.

The people who write such laws grew-up filthy rich, and never had any kind of meaningful social life as children outside the family, so they have no regard for the rights of children. In other words, they never had a childhood. In fact, they look upon children as the property of the family, and, ultimately, the property of the state.
They see children as a threat, because they and their constituents fear change. They just want things to continue as they've been going for the next thousand years.

hey ted, if you want to be safe, go ahead, but don't try to push your own safety rules on us. today, kids know what is going on. I know how dangerous or safe my town is, so why can't the government just let me make my own decisions?
