Question: My parents do drugs and how do I get away from it?

Answer: Depending on the state, for a child whose parents are not willing or able to care for him or her, a dependency petition may be filed. Some states also allow for a child to request emancipation (Arizona does not allow this). In Arizona, a private person or government agency can petition for dependency. Contact your state's Child Protective Services agency to obtain more help.

My parents smoke pot some times, but what i have come to relize is that no matter what my paretns do, its all up to me to make the right choices in life. That is how I am becoming an adult in my hard times. To any kids or other teens, if your parents do drugs, and you feel as if they don't love you, then my advise is to find some friends that you will love and will love you back. It worked for me. My bestfriend is my boyfriend. He loves me no matter what I do!

My dad does drugs and has my whole life. He has been in and out of rehab, but none of them help him. My mom had to get 2 jobs to support me and my 3 brothers so she is never home and im stuck taking care of them. When my dad is home he is locked in his bedroom or in plain sight while hes shootin up or smokin. My advise to anyone is to jus see the mistakes that your parents are makin & learn by em!

MOST TEENS DONT GO TO THEIR COUNSELOR BECAUSE THEY WILL REPORT THE PROBLEM TO THE POLICE AND THAT WILL GET THEIR PARENTS INTROUBLE. MY PARENTS GOT OUT OF DRUGS BY GOING TO CHURCH AND BECOMING SONS OF GOD.
