Question: I am an adopted 15 year old boy from Arizona. My adoptive parents abuse me physically and mentally. I am never allowed out of the house besides school. My mother is a heavy drug user and unbearable to be around. I have a close friend that his family is more than willing to take me in and help me. Is there anything I could do to make this happen? I don't think I could last until I'm 18!
Answer: If you are being abused you need to tell a trusted adult and have them contact Child Protective Services at (888) 767-2445. CPS will investigate your situation and if necessary remove you from the home. You can request help from the family willing to take you in, but you need to go through the State to be officially removed from the home.

Kids say that I should be dead, because my parents apperently didn't want me. It's been the same thing for the last two years. What they say really has a strong affect on what I think about myself. What should I do?

At least they let you go to school! It may seem like a horrible thing to do, but it really is the BEST thing to be in at your age, and its the best thing in a life time! Its about the ONLY place you can go to make friends

My parents and grandparents were the same way with me until this year (im over 18) and well, because of that, I have a VERY VERY VERY bad life, and have TONS of problems, including mental trauma. And well, I don't even have a friend in the world, unless u count my dog as a friend. And since I couldn't go to highschool for my junior and senior year, I didn't get to make any / keep new friends. And since im over 18, I can't go back to higschool (although I tried 5 times) I no longer have the CHANCE to make friends.StayInSchool
