Question: I'm under 18 and like to race my 340sx. If street race, what are the consequences?

Answer: Regardless of if your 340sx is a motorcycle, a car or a truck, if you're caught racing on the public streets, or even if you are driving recklessly in a private area like a parking lot, you face criminal sanctions for both speeding and reckless driving, which comes with a fine and possible jail time. You could also lose you license.

Arizona Law defines 'Drag Racing' as: (a) The operation of two or more vehicles from a point side by side at accelerating speeds in a competitive attempt to outdistance each other; or (b) The operation of one or more vehicles over a common selected course and from the same point for the purpose of comparing the relative speeds or power of acceleration of the vehicle or vehicles within a certain distance or time limit.

'Racing' is defined as the use of one or more vehicles in an attempt to outgain or outdistance another vehicle or prevent another vehicle from passing.

Both are specifically against the law in Arizona (ARS §28-708), and if convicted twice in a 24-month period, there a mandatory jail sentence is required.

Although street racing is illegal and dangerous, try and not classify that underneath everything else in this world. Ok, wether or not your going to try and stop it, street racing is going to go on forever. I myself have "street raced" before and find it to be very exciting. Sometimes I look to the rush of speeding and drag racing other than doing drugs, and other things. Its rediculous to pentalize the movies and media for "causing street racing" or anything of that source. If I am not mistaken, long before and movie than involved racing people raced daily! Movies like "The Fast and the Furio

Hi umm I think that you can get into trouble for street racing because of the fact that it is illegal in the state of arizona. But I also know this because my mom's neighbors would just street race up and down the street and get into trouble for it.
