In the rest of the civilized world you are allowed to drink by age 18 at least, 16 in a lot of places. America is the only place where you have to be 21. If they lowered the age kids would probably be more responsible with it, maybe not at first, but in the long run things would be better.

If you don't want your children to drink then teach them not to, people that buy people alcohol or smoke should not be punished. Prisons are over crowded enough.

I feel that any person buying alcohol for minors should be punished. I also feel that if they get caught buying any form of alcohol or tobacco for a minor that they are showing that it is a "cool" thing to do. How "cool" would it be to have to face a stiff punishment? If they get away with it they will never learn and in todays society it would be a smart thing to make them pay for the crime! Having children of my own, I would not like a person that would do that around my children. They need to put a stop to it and NO second chances! If they are old enough to do the crime, they are old enoug
