Question: What is the penalty for assault and battery?

Answer: The laws are different in every state, but are basically a crime. Punishment usually depends on how serious it was, if a weapon was involved, was the victim physically injured, etc. In many states a juvenile accused of assault can (or must) be tried as an adult. Penalties include jail, prison, probation, fines, restitution, community service and counseling. The Judge considers the age of the person, their record and the seriousness of the crime.

Hi, I have a question what is the worst thing that could happen to my boyfriend who went out one night and got drunk. he ended up hitting a guy in the head twice with a bat. See he never goes out though maybe 2-3 times a year or never. The guy ended up with a fractured skull. He is signing assault and battery on him. How much time do you thing he would get.Do you think if he has a good background they will take it easy on him and give him a fine or what? Please I need to know?

Okay, first don't even bother him. This story is just like mine. See this girl runs her mouth to much. so i took care of it and i got in the worst trouble with my parents. and i got suspened from school for 3 days. what you should do is get a restraining order on him. if you fight him you wont have a vey good life b/c you will not be accepted in many colleges. i regret what i did to her and i want you to know that you don't want what i went through, i have no life now.

hey, i know what you are going through b/c this has happened to me. but you can't do anything about what he had done to your grandma. i wanted to do the same thing so bad but i knew that i couldn't b/c you will still get counted for assault and battery. it is possible that he can sew you for all that you have. don't do anything! and i am sorry to hear that you grandmother has passed away

Today i was at lunch and me and this girl were playing around and i accidently pushed her off the railing and she hit her head. She got taken away in a firetruck but there was no bleeding, and there was minimal swelling and was still conscious. What could have happened to her and what will happen to me??
