Question: If I have permission from a parent, how old do I have to be before I can move out?
Answer: Moving out before you are 18 is not illegal in Arizona if the minor has parent permission. The permission should be specific regarding where the minor will live, with whom the minor will live, and for how long. Without this permission, the minor could be prosecuted as an incorrigible child. If the minor is under 16, he or she is expected to attend school and can be prosecuted as an incorrigible child if he or she does not. Child Protective Services can still become involved if the minor living away from home is not receiving age-appropriate supervision, is engaging in harmful conduct, does not have adequate food, clothing, shelter, medical care, or is living with an inappropriate person.

My friends parents hate him and they make him live in a storage room they will not feed him and he could not go off for halloween b/c he was on a candy diet. He is not allowed to do anything but chores and he is beaten on a daily bases and his mom tried to rip his nuts off

I am 16 years old and live with my mother and 10 year old brother. Everyday my mother gets out of hand and lets my brother get away with murder. She tells me everyday to move out of her house, but when I go to leave she tries to stop me and so i have not left because she threatens to call the police. My friends mother said that i could go and stay with them . She said that the cops can not do anything to me, b/c i am 16(she works for and attorney). IF i leave will i go to jail. What is the age of being able to move out in the state of Georgia? Im hoping that it is 16 and not 17. HELP!!
