Question: If I have permission from a parent, how old do I have to be before I can move out?

    Answer:

Moving out before you are 18 is not illegal in Arizona if the minor has parent permission. The permission should be specific regarding where the minor will live, with whom the minor will live, and for how long. Without this permission, the minor could be prosecuted as an incorrigible child. If the minor is under 16, he or she is expected to attend school and can be prosecuted as an incorrigible child if he or she does not. Child Protective Services can still become involved if the minor living away from home is not receiving age-appropriate supervision, is engaging in harmful conduct, does not have adequate food, clothing, shelter, medical care, or is living with an inappropriate person.

yes, my dad is a lawyer in the state of Ga. The statute says if the minor is 17 or older and has been to court and asked the judge if he/ she can do so. That is fine only if the judge approves of the environment the minor will be in.
