Question: Are parents responsible for kid's actions?

Answer: According to Arizona law, a parent or legal guardian of a person who is under 18 years of age shall exercise reasonable care, supervision, protection and control over the minor child. Parents can be held responsible for some of the children's actions. They may be ordered to pay money to victims of their children's offenses. It depends on what the actions are and if they violate laws.

I think that parents should NOT be held accountable for their childs actions because most parents can't control if their child wants to smoke are join a gang and some parents dont know where there child is 24/7.So I think that parents should Not be held accountable for their child's actions

why is it that society is always to blame? cant people, for once, just learn to take the responsibility for their own actions? yes, parents do play a major role in bringing up their kids. however, at the end of the day, kids have minds of their own and should therefore beable to make their own decisions.have we forgotten about the fact that there are many other influences out there such as the 'media' and 'peer 'pressure' which also have a huge impact on people? why is is that when things go wrong, people pin point directly at the parents?kids are kids and will always wana experiment.thats life

i dont think that parents should be held responsible. kids are going to be kids and everyone is not perfect. kids know right from wrong and if they choose to do wrong well thats they problem. all the parents can do is just be their when they mess up. parents are not going to always be around to help them so they need to learn on their own that they can't always do wrong.

My mother and i were involved in an accident that was 100% the fault of a minor driver. The vehicle was her parents and one parent was in the car since she had just a permit. My mother is partially handicap. She can not work and my folks have lost their house. The minor has no assets to make my family "whole." Shouldn't the child's parents pay for her irresponsible actions? And for their bad judgement in not fully teaching her how to drive before they allowed a 15 yr old to drive an SUV on a 70 mph highway?
