Question: Can I rent my own apartment without the permission of my parents?

Answer: Since renting an apartment requires you to enter into a contract, you should look for similar Q & A's in the Speak Up Answer area regarding Minors and Contracts.

You need to contact the Attorney General's Office in Arizona or your state to find out if you would be legally able to sign a lease or rental agreement without the permission of your parents.

I am 16 years old, turning 17 in July. I am single and going to be having a baby in August. Am I legally allowed to get an apartment without my mother's consent? Can the law do anything to me if she does not give her consent?

o.k im 16 and my boyfriend is 18 we have being going together for 3 year and in this time we have been planning to move in together. my parents r catholic and i think they r pretty strick and as most catholic girls r very pure in the begining and always wanted to break loose. so i think when i turn 15 i started rebeling- ive been arrested before and my boyfriend has a clean slate-which im proud of, but i have learned from my mistake. now don't get me wrong i love my grandparents with all my heart.i just have to get out of that stressful environment. my b/friend is the only 1 i trust & b myself
