Question: What are the consequences if I leave home before I turn 18 years old?

    Answer:

If a person under 18 leaves home without permission from a parent or legal guardian, he or she can be prosecuted as an incorrigible child (A.R.S. § 8-201(15)(c)). Some of the potential consequences of being found incorrigible include being fined, be placed on probation, and being ordered to do community service. The specific charges and consequences are left up to the officer of the court.

In the state of georgia you have to be 17 years old to move out but you can be thrown out by your parents/gardian at age 16. Before you throw a party you should know that you will get out there in the world and one day find yourself really sorry you were in such a hurry to grow up. Wishing you had stayed at home warm, protected and provided for. These grown ups love you very much and sometimes we go a little over board but we ALWAYS have your best intrests at heart. As a mother I can honestly tell you that it will break your parents heart. They will stay up nights crying and hurting for you.
