    printer friendly version

Question: If I got busted with weed what the worse that could happen?

    Answer:

If you are prosecuted in juvenile court, you can be placed on probation or sent to the Department of Juvenile Corrections up to your 18th birthday, and your driver's license would be suspended until your 18th birthday. It can leave a felony on your record, which may affect your later ability to get scholarships, federal benefits like welfare or public housing assistance, or jobs requiring security clearance. The military also has strict rules about accepting candidates with drug histories. You may be unable to enlist unless the branch you select thinks enough time has passed that you are no longer high risk to abuse substances again.

If you are prosecuted as an adult, the court must place you on probation and require that you attend substance abuse counseling. It can leave you with a felony record, which has many of the same consequences as those listed above. If you reject probation, you can be required to serve time.

Marijuana has been prooven over time that it truley doesnt effect your body. Test show that marijuana does damage brain cells that is true, but tests also show that your brain cells regenerate after time. I'm sure the only reason why it is illegal is because they can not tax it. Another thing, there has never ever been a report of overdose of marijuana but there has been billions of reports of killings under the use of alcohol. So why have alcohol on the streets over marijuana, that just doesnt make since... does it?

What a bunch of bull that is. Some of you are so ignorant, you still believe so called "Truth" and things such as the D.A.R.E program. First off, no one and I mean NO ONE has EVER died from marijuana abuse alone. It does NOT kill brain cells, you don't get addicted and its impossible to overdose on it. Besides, don't be so fast to bash on something you're not to try. Let me tell you, a stoned person has WAY more control then someone whos drunk, and drinking does kill braincells. You also have alcoholism and chances of alcohol poisioning. See my point?

Weed's fine aslong as you don't abuse it. If you are hanging with the right crowd at a party, sure go ahead and get a high. One of the biggest drugs that doesn't come with serious longterm damage. If you are wise, you wouldn't smoke during education purposes(School, College, Ect). Just stay on your toes, with your eyes open and enjoy your fun. -Dylan.
