Question: Are parents responsible for kid's actions?

Answer: According to Arizona law, a parent or legal guardian of a person who is under 18 years of age shall exercise reasonable care, supervision, protection and control over the minor child. Parents can be held responsible for some of the children's actions. They may be ordered to pay money to victims of their children's offenses. It depends on what the actions are and if they violate laws.

i am a 15 yr old girl from england-i believe that parents should NOT be responsible for their childs actions as it is the childs descision. Its not like the parent is telling the child to go out and commit the crime. i think it unfair. i think some people take it to their advantage that they wont get punished by the authoroties if they skip school, but that their parents will. one case where i live is that a mother went to prison because her daughters were skipping school! i think it is very wrong and parents shouldnt be responsible for something they cant stop (without locking their child up)

Yes. Parents should make it clear to their children what is right and what is not.

Children's actions are a reflection of what they are given, or not given, remembering that particularly in this case materialistic values do not exceed the values of a nurture, love and care. In order to succeed in any, or most of the challenges a child faces they must believe in themselves. How can they do this if those closest to them, their parents do not believe or support them? They cannot. Therefore it is evident that a parent is responsible for the level at which a child puts effort into their actions and therefore the actions themselves.

that is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard!!!! parents shouldn't be the one who taken granted of from their kids. Kids should learn to be responsible on what they have done. Parents will be the one who guide their kids but not responsible on what the kids have done.
