Question: At what age can you choose which parents you want to live with either?
Answer: Your adopted parents are your legal parents and have the right to make decisions on your behalf until you are 18, including where you live. This must be a difficult situation for you and the adults involved if you are now having contact with your biological parents. Depending on the circumstances of your biological parents and your age, sometimes visitation arrangements can be worked out if all parties are willing. You may want to speak to your school counselor, you may need an adult to help you work through this.

i've lived with my dad in texas fo rabout 7 years i want to move back with my mom but he says she not wont be able to take care of me because she doesn't make a whole lot of money i think hes holding on to the past to see that my mom has changed how can i make him see and will i be able to just stay with her when i visit this summer

The only reason i live with my dad now is because my mom moved out of the state and i didnt want to go out of the state. Now that my mom lives in my old hometown, i want to live with her full time. I get along with her much better too. I just wanted to know if i went to court with my mom and dad and told them my story, would they let me move back in with my mother?
