Question: Is it true that Arizona is the only state where possession of tobacco or tobacco products by minors is illegal?

Answer: As of February 28, 1997, Federal law does not allow retailers to sell cigarettes, tobacco, or smokeless tobacco to anyone under the age of 18. This law applies to all states. Laws regarding the possession of tobacco are left up to the individual states. Even though we have not been able to research all of the state laws, we do know that Arizona is not alone in the law prohibiting minors from possessing tobacco products.

Most kids i know that smoke come from familys that are some-how stuffed up, i find that smokeing releaves tension and calms the mind. why do you people sterotype us, if you were empathatic and nice people you would allow us to go about our own business. what im saying is that you people dont see the reason i and many others smoke. so before you go and throw us into your "i dont want to know this person" pile, think for a second "maybe its just their way of copeing with their own problems" so i wont lok down on them and think "losers"

I think that cigarrettes do relieve stress in life because it involves deep breathing and some people don't get addicted, they smoke because they want to and won't you just leave these people alone. Just because they smoke, that doesn't mean that you get to tell them what to do, just give them the facts about smoking, and let them think about it if they want to quit or not. It's their choice not yours. There are reasons why teens smoke, for example: school, finals, SAT's, ACT'S, people problems, and other things that could make a person go crazy. They smoke so they could get these stresses out
