First a foremost, marijuana is no where near bad for you, in fact there are no known deaths caused my marijuana usage, but millions in tobacco casualties. Not only is tobacco addictive (marijuana is not chemically addictive, but as with anything it can be, just like junk food or TV is addicting), but its more deadly. Alcohol is deadly as well. It's completely moronic that Marijuana is illegal, it was legal before the 1930's, even our greatest presidents have used and grown it (Washington, Lincoln, even JFK). Cannibis (Marijuana) was used in 50% of medicine, and even today is said, that if lega

First of all, anyone who says marijuana is harmless is wrong. Marijuana is an addictive drug which has negative side effects that can lead to the dulling of senses and reaction time. This in turn can causes accidents involving motor vehicles or may lead to accidents within the home (i.e. a stove left on, playing with weapons). Also, marijuana is a gateway drug, once marijuana becomes boring, drug users often feel a step up is necessary to achieve the same high. This leads to serious drug problems such as cocaine and heroine use. I agree that marijuana should be legalized and regulated m

First and foremost, cannabis (marijuana) needs to be legal for the same reason alcohol, cigarettes and abortion are legal. Humans are going to do what they're going to do, whether it's legal or not. In the 1920s alcohol was illegal. Guess what. Criminals cornered the market on liquor, people were dying from overdoses and poisonings, and it was an activity which included obscene amounts of money. Most high-school kids today who are interviewed say that it's easier for them to get pot than alcohol or cigarettes. Why? Because black-market sellers don't care about someone's age or ID.
